Most people can't tell you the difference between a coach, a therapist, and a mentor, and the coaching industry hasn't done a great job clearing that up. So let's clear it up. I was skeptical of all of this once, for what it's worth. I remember asking myself why I'd pay someone to ask me questions when I already had a therapist. Turns out those are two different rooms doing two different jobs, and I needed both at different points. A therapist is like your doctor. They help you understand what happened in your past. A coach is more like your personal trainer, in the gym with you, holding you accountable to the work you already said you wanted to do. I don't diagnose your past. I help you build your future, one rep at a time. A mentor has walked your exact path and hands you their answers. I don't do that.
